We aim to make our uniform as simple, affordable and student-friendly as possible. We recognise that many of our students may have struggled to follow uniform expectations at their previous schools, and that some may have sensory issues that make uniform a challenge for them.

Students are expected to wear:

Navy blue polo shirt with Chalk Hill badge on the left sleeve

Navy and sky blue quarter-zip sweatshirt with Chalk Hill badge

Plain trousers / tracksuit bottoms / knee-length shorts in blue, grey, or black

Shoes or trainers (no sliders or boots)

PE kit and Horse-riding kit are provided by Chalk Hill for a charge. They are labelled and kept separate for each individual student, at the school, where they are washed and dried.

We offer three uniform packages to parents/carers:

Expectations

All Chalk Hill students are expected to wear the school uniform as described above.

Only school sweatshirts are permitted. No other jumpers, sweatshirts, hoodies or jackets are permitted.

In colder weather students should wear a school sweatshirt first, then a coat if necessary. Hoodies, jumpers and tracksuit tops are not permitted instead of coats.

Permitted jewellery:

  • one discreet stud in either or both ears
  • watch
  • simple necklace if worn under the shirt

No other jewellery is allowed.

If a student has medical needs that mean a variation to the uniform is needed, the parent/carer should speak to the school and seek approval from the Headteacher.

NOTE: The Headteacher reserves the right to make individual judgements or amendments to the above as fashions and situations arise.
