School meals £2.70 per day; £13.50 per week. Our preferred payment method is using the Patent Portal on Arbor. Payment is required in advance of taking the meal.
Packed lunches should be provided in named lunch-boxes. Sweets, chewing gum, fizzy drinks and glass drink containers are not allowed in school.
Children are welcome to carry well-sealed plastic bottles of water for personal use, particularly during the summer months.
Because so many of our pupils leave home early and travel long distances to school the kitchen staff serve healthy snacks and fresh fruit at morning break time. Items are priced at 10 and 20 pence and provide pupils with a good opportunity to plan their spending and handle money.
Free School Meals
Food for thought – There are around 5,000 young people in Suffolk who are eligible for a free school meal but are not currently claiming one. If they all claimed the meal they are entitled to, Suffolk Schools would be £5 million better off.
More than 12,000 children in Suffolk already receive a free school meal. This saves their families around £400 a year and gives between £985 & £1385 (per child) of additional funding to their school to assist with educational supplies and projects.
THERE IS NOW A NEW QUICK AND EASY WAY TO APPLY USING THE NEW ONLINE SYSTEM THROUGH SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL PLEASE FOLLOW THE LINK:
