The Free School application was approved on 6th March 2024.

Empowering Futures Academy is a new free school for Alternative Provision.
Offering 90 places when full for students aged 14 to 19 who need something different to the mainstream offer.
The exact location of the Academy is not confirmed yet, but will be in the Bury St Edmunds area.
Empowering Futures Academy offers a vocational curriculum supporting students into post 16 study and employment.
SENDAT are proud to be working with West Suffolk College and ONE sixth form College to run vocational courses at Empowering Futures Academy.
We offer a combination of core qualifications in English, Maths, Science, PE and PSHE, together with Vocational training and qualifications.

We are working on options in the Bury St Edmunds area, and the A14 corridor between Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds.
No most students do not have an EHCP, but some will have one and some may be assessed during their time at Empowering Futures.
