At Stone Lodge Academy we offer all of our pupils a broad and balanced curriculum to meet their learning styles and developmental needs.
Learning takes place throughout the school day and is not confined to the classroom or to academic subjects:
- Social skills are developed at break times, snack and meal time, out-and-about in the community.
- Life-skills and work-related learning
- Off site visits and residential opportunities
- Horse Riding and swimming lessons
The curriculum in the primary department is a topic-based, cross-curricular approach, whilst in high school students are taught a subject-based curriculum leading to qualifications.
For individual departments/subjects areas please see Long Term Plans.
Subject Leads review and amend curriculum offer annually.
