At Stone Lodge Academy we offer all of our pupils a broad and balanced curriculum which is tailored to meet the learning styles and developmental levels of every individual.
Learning takes place throughout the school day and is not confined to the classroom or to academic subjects:
Social skills are reinforced at break times, snack and meal times and when out-and-about in the community.
Life-skills and work-related learning take place within the PSHE curriculum.
Day trips help to broaden the experiences and attitudes of pupils.
Riding and swimming lessons aid motor and physical development.
The curriculum in the primary department is a topic-based, cross-curricular approach, whilst in high school students are taught a subject-based curriculum leading to examinations to mark achievement at an appropriate level.
