Adding more spaces for students at Priory School

To help meet the needs of young people and families in Suffolk. We are proposing to take two extra classes at Priory School. One of these groups will be at the Thurston site and the other class will be at the Priory Mount Road site.

Question for the consultation

Do you support SENDAT to increase the number of specialist places at Priory School from its existing places to a total of 238 places in the age range 5-19 for children and young people with co-occurring Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs on its two sites in Bury St Edmunds and Thurston? This number includes Priory School’s current sixth form of 18 places and 23 residential places.

The planned expansion is in response to Suffolk County Council’s programme to transform the education of CYP with SEND. The trust is working in partnership with Suffolk County Council.
